If you have a photo of an abandoned building, or know of one not shown on these pages please send me an e-mail. I have a large list of suggestions from you, the visitors to this site, that I have yet to photograph.
You can also find some of the
same
photos on the
OABONNY
Flickr.com page here. You can comment directly on the photos there and
I will copy the relevant comments to this site, and vice versa. The photos on these pages that were taken by me were photographed with a Canon Powershot A570 IS, with older ones taken with an Olympus D-460 Zoom. A very few were taken with a Motorola Razr V3xx, from stills from a Canon ZR500 digital widescreen camcorder, or an older Polaroid digital camera. Please also note - no property is trespassed on for photos I have taken personally; I get permission if I do want to take any interior shots or angles I can't get from public property. I hope to contribute a little to the idea of non-destructive Urban Exploration with these photographs. Whether you call it Urban Exploration, Infiltration, Creeping, Urban Spelunking, Reality Hacking, Building Hacking, Urban Caving, Psychogreography, or whatever - I believe in passive observation when doing any of the above, no damaging property and no trespassing.
Occasionally this site may
be down for a few minutes. If so just try again in a short time. No responsibility is taken for the information nor accuracy of what is presented on these pages, and all photos and information is for your entertainment only. If you plan on physically going to the location to look at any of the buildings presented here follow all laws, don't trespass, and don't take anything from these sites nor cause damage or leave graffiti. Click here to begin perusing the first photo page, here to see my favorites, or click a link in the menu which appears near the top of each page. Below each structure's thumbnail is it's approximate location, relevant information, and sometimes anecdotes (if you have anything to add to any picture please e-mail me). Each thumbnail can be clicked on to view a larger version of the photo, which is formatted to fit most screens and for quick displaying (note - if you are interested in more detailed photos I do have higher resolution copies of some). Pressing your browser's BACK button will return you to the thumbnail page. Also, near the bottom of each thumbnail page are links for jumping to any page number, or moving to the next or previous page. To search for a specific location there is a brief index of locations that can be found by clicking on the top menu (someday I plan on re-organizing all the pictures into townships or something easier to peruse), or you may search the entire site for a location, category of buildings, or descriptions - use the SEARCH box below. To search for a phrase use quotes, like this: "Rector Road".
